Vendor-independent virtualisation courses offered
Online academy to teach ins and outs of virtualisation

Virtualisation community, Itsavirtualworld.com, has launched an online training course, Virtual Academy, aiming to provide IT professionals with expertise on all topics related to virtualisation..
Although there are several online training courses available, they tend to be run by vendors such as Microsoft or VMware, the Virtual Academy has been designed to provide users with a non-biased, vendor-neutral learning experience.
Virtual Academy will launch with a two-day class on Acronis Backup and Recovery 101. The initial course, focused on Acronis, will provide students with the hands-on experience in designing and implementing a complete disaster recovery strategy for virtual environments. Subsequent courses will look at topics such as implementing VMware and Hyper-V, cloud computing and virtual security. Courses will be run on a monthly or bi-monthly basis.
Peter Heigis, course instructor and chief architect at Sublime Solution, the company behind Itsavirtualworld said, "The participation in this online course will enable students to fully and confidently understand the complexities of configuring, managing, and deploying a solid disaster recovery strategy within their unique environment."
According to the Boston-based company, the first course will cost $599 and starts later this month.
