MediaSurface buys CMS rival Immediacy
A snip at £5.6 million notes.

Mediasurface, a UK maker of content management software (CMS), will buy Immediacy, also a content management vendor, for £5.6 million the companies announced on Tuesday.
Mediasurface said the acquisition will give it a content management software offering for mid-size businesses, rounding out its portfolio of CMS systems.
Immediacy's CMS is geared for non-technical users, according to Mediasurface's Web site. It can be used to administer Web sites or content within intranets and extranets.
Mediasurface's main product is Morello, which is Web content management software that uses an interface that looks similar to Windows. It also makes Pepperio, a software package for small businesses to build Web sites.
Mediasurface said it will issue shares to raise money for the acquisition as well as use cash.
