Look mum no hands! Hipster robot rides around on fixie bike

Amazing little bot rides an amazing little bike like it's no big deal, yeah?

Look mum, no hands! This little hipster robot rides around on its fixie bike like it's no big deal, which is great because if there are two things in this world I love it's whimsical robots and fixed-gear bikes.

The bot can even steady the bike with his legs when it's not riding around, so you don't have to pick it up or give it a push to start it. When it wants to stop, it just sticks its legs out and uses its feet as a friction brake, bringing the bike to a skidding stop. The little hipster bot can wave at onlookers too - provided he comes to a stop first - but hopefully it'll be able to ride without holding on to the handlebars before long.

The bot was made by a Dr Guero, and it looks like he hacked and modified hobbyist-graderobot which you can get online in order to create the pro cyclist it is today.

Google doesn't translate his site particularly well - it turns out to be mostly gibberish - but you can check it out if you want to see for yourself.

And with London's upcoming Silicon Roundabout undergoing development by Old Street, how long will it be until the rest of Shoreditch and East London has these little dudes riding around?
