What you see below is the Web's first image of "the world's most expensive BlackBerry" smartphone...at least according to the designer who makes it: Alexander Amosu.

Amosu's company, Alexander Amosu, is well-known for its stunning work on various high-end gadgets and gizmos, as well as other exorbitantly priced products, like the designer's $112,000 "world's most-expensive suit."

I can't confirm that this new Curve 8900 is in fact the most expensive BlackBerry in the world, but it costs £150,000 (US$240,000)
Amosu et al apparently spent 350 hours building the custom Curve, and it's made of solid 18-carat yellow gold and encrusted with 4,459 brilliant cut diamonds (weighing 28.43 carats), according to the company.
The device is a limited edition; Amosu plans to sell only three, one of which has already been purchased by a mysterious "client in the Middle East."
Included in the price is device personalisation with your name or company logo, as well as 24 hour global concierge service focused on "accessing the inaccessible," whatever that means.
If you've got a spare £150K lying around, power to you. This new Amosu Curve 8900 could have your name all over it. For the rest of us, at least it's fun to gawk at.
