Hitachi upgrades data centre monitoring software
IT Operations Analyzer 1.2 supports virtualisation

Hitachi announced the Hitachi IT Operations Analyzer offering monitoring software for mid-market customers.
IT Operations Analyzer 1.2, version 1.1, provides a customised Application Product Interface (API) which includes an expanded operating system, virtualisation and switch support, the company claimed.
The software is a mid-sized business product designed to monitor 250 heterogeneous server, switch and storage nodes across the datacenter through a unified interface, according to the company.
Hitachi IT Operations Analyzer 1.2 also extends its multiple operating system monitoring support, with the inclusion of Sun Solaris in addition to support options for Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Linux.
"IT Operations Analyzer offering has generated interest from the ISV community, as its adoption grows and demand for easy-to-manage monitoring solutions for multivendor, multiplatform servers, networks and storage has risen," said Sean Moser, VP-Software Product Management, Hitachi.
Hitachi IT Operations Analyzer 1.2 also introduces monitoring support for NetApp FAS, Cisco FC and Juniper EX-Series, and expands its VMware virtualisation support, according to the company. Additional features include automated root cause analysis, agentless architecture and unified interface, added the company.
