Almost half of employers are looking to hire more IT professionals in the second half of the year, according to a major recruitment agency.
Agency Robert Walters questioned hundreds of employers across different industries and found that 49 percent are looking to hire more IT pros in the coming months.
The research found that 66 percent of these companies will be focused on permanent hires, and 70 percent are looking for experienced, mid-level IT professionals - such as experienced executives or junior managers.

While the survey shows that IT teams are more likely to grow than marketing, accounting or HR headcounts, 46 percent of IT hiring managers feel they will be affected by skills shortages over the coming months.
Natasha Brooks, head of IT recruitment at Robert Walters, said: "Organisations are looking to hire IT professionals at a range of levels, building up permanent headcounts as they prepare for further growth in their business.
"With many in the sector predicting skills shortages, companies must ensure their organisations are equipped with the resources and knowledge to secure sought after IT professionals."
