O2 launches hunt for the world’s favourite Angry Bird

The vote is being run via text, Twitter, Facebook and the O2 Blog

Mobile phone network provider O2 has launched the hunt for the world's favourite Angry Bird in celebration of the first official Angry Birds day this Saturday - 11 December 2010.

"The vote, being run via text, Twitter, Facebook and the O2 Blog, will determine one of the biggest questions of our time: does the yellow bird's turbo boost outweigh the blue bird's ability to split, or are the pigs in the right after all?," notes O2. The vote runs until lunchtime on Friday 10 December.

According to O2, David Cameron, Kylie Minogue, Duncan Bannatyne and Chris Moyles are among celebrity Angry Birds fans.

The search is being run to coincide with O2 offering Red Bird, Yellow Bird and Green Pig Gear4 Angry Birds cases for iPhone 4 in store and at www.o2.co.uk/angrybirds.

A series of UK based meet-ups are planned for Angry Birds day including a flash mob style get together in London's tourist hotspot Trafalgar Square.
